Eddie Walker
Head - Digital Governance & Performance, Te Wānanga o Aotearoa
Eddie has worked at Te Wānanga o Aotearoa for 21 years, holding positions such as Procurement Manager, Business Analyst, Digital Architect, and Head of Digital Governance and Performance. He has also contributed to projects focused on kaupapa matua (Māori values, principles, and practices).
In his spare time, he participates in charity cycling events with the Ride for Talei Cervical and Prostate Cancer Trust, serves as a trustee for his Marae in Kaitāia, and has been a member of the NZ Trust and Identity in Education and Research Steering Committee.
He has engaged with indigenous groups from Hawai’i, Taiwan, Japan (Ainu community), Alaska, American Indians, Bolivia and Peru (Quechua and Aymara peoples), and the Saami from Finland and Norway.
